4th leg of the 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗥𝟳 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗖𝗦𝗢𝘀) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

PENRO Negros Oriental holds the 4th leg of the 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗥𝟳 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗖𝗦𝗢𝘀) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 at Dumaguete City with around 30 partner stakeholders from the AOR of CENRO Dumaguete City and CENRO Ayungon.

Regional Executive Director Paquito D. Melicor, Jr. emphasizes that this gathering is the right venue to hear out our partner stakeholders and document all of their inputs and submit to Central Office as part of the instructions of Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga during the conduct of the Multistakeholders Forum Visayas cluster.

The CSOs were divided into 9 groups working on the 9 nature-based approach programs of DENR in line with the Secretary’s nature based solution approach: forest management and protection, protected area management, biodiversity resources conservation, coastal and marine environment management, water resource management, air and water quality improvement, waste management, mineral resources development, and lands management.

The conduct of consultation is in relation to the FY 2024 budget proposal on ongoing and new spending projects and activities pursuant to National Budget Memorandum No.145 dated 12 January 2023 or the National Budget Call for FY 2024.
