Today, on World Water Day, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Siquijor led a collaborative effort to rejuvenate Capilay Spring, in partnership with the Municipal Local Government of San Juan and various other agencies including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Philippine National Police (PNP), along with youth/work immersion students from Siquijor State College (SSC).

The event commenced with a warm welcome address from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer (MENRO) Wilson Larot, Jr., expressing gratitude for PENRO Siquijor's initiative in rejuvenating Capilay Spring. Following this, PDO II Ryd Banguis provided a brief rationale, highlighting the importance of rejuvenating Capilay Spring every two years to preserve its natural beauty. He also shed light on the significance of celebrating World Water Day.

CMEMP Focal Cristy Ann Ricaborda then acknowledged the participants and provided orientation on the specific areas designated for each agency. The collaborative effort proved to be successful, contributing significantly to the preservation of our natural resources.
