The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Region 7 Central Visayas distribute land titles to 796 beneficiaries from the 24 barangays of LGU Tabogon during the Free Patent Land Title Distribution and the Bagong Pilipinas Mini Caravan held in the Municipality of Tabogon, Cebu.
“A dream come true”, one of the land title holders said.
Land is an important resource that plays a significant role in the survival and prosperity of human society as a basic capital upon which all economic goods are produced to ensure the security of land tenure. The reason that every Filipino dreams of owning a piece of land, a land they can call their own.
“Handog Titulo” program of the department aims to fast-track the processing and issuance of public land patents to qualified recipients to alleviate poverty and fuel progress and development, where dreams of owning a land becomes reality, Regional Executive Director Paquito D. Melicor Jr. commented.
The partnership with the Local Government Units (LGUs) and Registry of Deeds (ROD) strengthened the agency’s linkages through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENROs) and Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (CENROs).
Usec. Terence C. Calatrava joined the said activity in line with Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) commitment to promote the programs of President Bongbong Marcos to create a thriving environment for every Filipino and create a more accessible, efficient, and citizen-focused government.
Mayor Francis T. Salimbangon hosted the said program held Tabogon Sports Complex with the participation of the DENR Central Visayas PENRO Cebu Jose Cleo Cary Colis and CENRO Cebu personnel, Registry of Deeds Cebu Province, , IBP Cebu Chapter - Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Visayas Command, AFP, Qualfon Cebu, Social Security System, PhilHealth Region VII, HDMF CEBU Pag-ibig Fund, Philippine Statistics Authority in the region.
