Municipal Government of Minglanilla, Cebu and DENR Central Visayas inked MOA to protect forests

With the preservation of its forest one of top priorities, the Minglanilla Municipal Government through Mayor Rajiv Enad signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to craft and implement a Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP).

While the management of the country’s natural resources rests primarily on the DENR, the Municipal Government also shares in the responsibility.

Minglanilla is home to the country’s first reforestation project which is more than a century old.
