In order to promote awareness and common understanding of the Republic Act 11038 or the Expanded National Integrated Protected Areas System (ENIPAS) Act of 2018 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, OIC Regional Executive Director Paquito D. Melicor welcomes around one hundred participants from Regions 6, 7 and 8 convened for a 3-day roll-out of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the NIPAS Act, as amended, and the National Protected Area System Master Plan.   The three-day event starts today, 16 Sept. 2019 until 18 Sept. 2019 at Hotel Elizabeth, Cebu City organized by the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB).   Participants from the three regions are composed of Regional Executive Directors, Assistant Regional Directors - Technical Services, CDD Div. Chiefs, PENROs, PENROs Technical Services Division Chiefs, PENROs Planning Officers, PASus and APASUs.   The said activity also aims to streamline the activities at the field offices on protected area establishment and management based on the provisions of the ENIPAS Act and its IRR as well as the roadmap set by the National Protected Area System Master Plan.
