On March 21, 2022, we PENRO Siquijor celebrate the International Day of Forest. “This is a day to raise awareness on the importance of forest conservation. Let us together take part in preserving our forests.
With this, some personnel of PENRO Siquijor conducted a Tree Growing Activity at Balolang, Larena, Siquijor headed by CDO II Ryd B. Banguis and NGP Focal Person Forester II Hazel P. Lañohan. The tree growing activity engages support from the Philippines National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and Mother Earth Foundation. A total of forty-one (41) males and twenty-two (22) females joined the early morning tree growing activity. We planted a total of 300 Molave seedlings.
