Levelling-off on the plans and programs of all the protected areas

DENR Region 7 PaSu and APaSus convened for a two-day levelling-off on the plans and programs of all the protected areas in the region. DENR 7 Regional Director Gilbert C. Gonzales in his message directed all protected area managers to set the direction in ensuring proper management of their respective protected areas.

"You are assigned as protected area managers for a reason. Make sure that you know all that is happening in your protected areas and with the guidance and directions of the protected area management boards promote and push for environmental conservation and sustainable development, " said RD Gonzales.

His marching order is to never allow any development projects that might negatively impact protected areas and apply scientific methods in coming up with management decisions to make sure its landscape/seascape are protected and conserved.

Moreover, RD Gonzales revealed that one of his directions in protected area management is to assess capabilities of PA managers to ensure that DENR have well equipped, skilled and capable representatives put in place to assist and support the PAMBs.

DENR 7 joins R.A.C.E to serve fun run

In support to the 2018 Philippine Civil Service Month celebration, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 7 together with other government officials and employees joined the (Responsive, Accessible, Courteous, and Effective) RACE to Serve Public Service Fun Run spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) 7 today at UP Cebu Grounds in Lahug.

The theme for this year's Civil Service Month Anniversary is Lingkod Bayani: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan which aims to remind all public servants to promote malasakit in public service, to exemplify love of God and country and to contribute in building a citizen-centric government.
