PENRO Negros Oriental Turn-over Ceremony

DENR 7 Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer For. Charlie E. Fabre is back to Negros Oriental after his one year stint as OIC Regional Director in DENR CARAGA Region. This, after a turnover ceremony was conducted last February 26, 2018 at Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

 

During his acceptance message, PENRO Fabre lauded outgoing OIC PENRO Engr. Viernov D. Grefalde for his strong and effective leadership as OIC PENRO Negros Oriental and for maintaining a good momentum of work in terms of program implementation and ENR law enforcement. Grefalde will now be assigned as the Chief, Technical Services for PENRO Negros Oriental.

“Now that I’m back, let us work together once again and in support to the directions of our Environment Secretary Roy A. Cimatu, we will build stronger partnerships with our local government units and stakeholders, we will coordinate, strategize and commit to attain our agency’s mandate,” said PENRO Fabre.

 

PENRO Fabre started his career in the DENR in 1990 as Senior Forester and was promoted as Forester III before he was assigned as OIC Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer for Ayungon, Negros Oriental on 2003. After being recognized as one of the most successful sites for National Greening Program implementation, he was installed as OIC-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer for Negros Oriental in 2013 and became a full-fledged PENRO on 2015. He was then assigned to lead as OIC Regional Director for Caraga Region last January 2017.

 

He was also recognized as the regional winner for the 2017 Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award by the Civil Service Commission for his excellence, achievements and contribution in pursuing environmental governance.

 

During the turn-over ceremony, DENR 7 Assistant Regional Director Eduardo M. Inting congratulated PENRO Fabre for a job well done in leading DENR CARAGA citing the numerous challenges and issues he had to face. “We are very proud of what you have done in CARAGA Region and you still have a lot to contribute to Region 7 now that you are back with us,” added ARD Inting.

DENR 7 Regional Executive Director Gilbert Gonzales conducts the actual verification on the location of monuments within the shorelines of Brgys. Pooc and Talisay, Sta Fe, Cebu as part of the on-going clearing of illegal structures within the 20m easement zone as provided by the Water Code of the Philippines.

As of today, UFTPAI native coffee is now marketed in Ubay and all other neighboring municipalities in Bohol.
